Gifts!

I wanted to write a post about love.

You will find me looking up sites on which to buy coconut oil. Flakes. Cacao pods. It is true.

This process is like watching yourself burn, you don't even feel it and then you are just tiny grey flakes. There is something very nice about it and difficult to understand. How does it feel to be a phoenix? To give birth? Taking flight?

We are having a wedding so that we can tell you a story. Yes. We are crafting an infusion to set loose on time. We have worked our whole lives to understand the value and delicacy of the ingredients and combinations. Like foods, they are mythological and we partake of them with our deep and great faith in possibility.

But it is mostly about getting heart-shaped candy dishes for free. I know this is possible. We went to Crate & Barrel.

PARK USE PERMIT

Amici Park

We've had a lot of trouble getting a permit for the park where we want to have the ceremony. First we called San Diego Park and Recreation. They said it wasn't in their jurisdiction. They gave us the number for Community Parks I Division, which didn't know anything about the park and gave us the first number we called. We visited the Park and Recreation office and they had no idea. The lady pulled out a long list and found the name of the man who tends the park. So we called that guy. He gave us a number of another guy who might be able to issue us a permit. We are currently waiting to hear from him.

At this point we have no idea whether we are going to be able to even get the park. It is only a few blocks away from the reception site. How perfect would that be? Anyhow, we are going to sign the contract at the gallery this week for the reception. The date is mostly set. It's not quite ready to be released, but think save-the-date soon.
